An Siopa Gaeilge is located in Oideas Gael, Gleann Cholm Cille, Co Dhún
na nGall. An Siopa contains a selection of items regarded by Oideas Gael as
being of particular interest to the Adult Irish language learner and the teacher
(adult, primary and second level). We also carry a wide selection of materials
for children and a variety of traditional music resources.
Our selection of traditional music CDs focus, in particular, on those wonderful
musicians hosted by Cairdeas na bhFidléirí as well as those who
play each summer in Oideas Gael’s highly-acclaimed concerts. Musicians
performing in our 2009 series of concerts included Máire Ní Bhraonáin,
Ashley Davis, the Campbell clan, Dermie & Tara Diamond, Mairéad
Ní Mhaonaigh and Tommy Peoples, together with many other outstanding
musicians.
An Siopa also carries an unsurpassed range of bilingual greeting cards, along
with books on Irish history, culture, archaeology, music and the environment.
Note too that An Siopa Gaeilge is able to facilitate those interested in purchasing
paintings of the area, knitwear and other local handcrafts.
